Impala frequently associated with the baboons and did not expect to encounter humans—at least not at first. I took this photograph from behind a tree, but on one occasion, while sitting in dense brush watching some baboons, a curious impala approached and brought its nose within two feet of my face. After several seconds, it turned and walked away—fortunately without kicking. download small
